The whole thing was kid of odd, although I kind of saw the benefits to each of them.

For Jessica Simpson, it gave her the opportunity to show she was capable of dating people with depth and talent. Sort of like the whole Arthur Miller thing and Marilyn Monroe. Say what you will about Billy Corgan, but he's no Nick Lashay.

For Billy, it gave him the chance to a) stay relevant and in the news and b) have sex with a hot chick. And face it, isn't that what being a rock star is really all about in the end?
