Renal failure, had to put her down. I will miss her little trill of greeting and paw on my head trying to groom me.

Always hard to lose a pet who has been a true member of the family. I miss her tonight. Poor baby.

That really hurts. I'm sure she's still with you in someway. Nineteen years is a good run for a kitty though. You did good for her and I'm sure she knows.

She had a good long life. Was she with you all 19 years?
I have two cats, one 14 and the other 10. I fear their passing.

A pet is truly a member of the family. Several years ago our dog got lymphoma at 15 years old. On her last day, my son-in-law gently picked her up off the couch she always slept on and brought her to the car for her final journey. A year later I was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. I watched my son-in-law suspiciously for nearly a year.

13. LOL! My son always remind us he's sending us to the home too.
I tell him I'm going to find my own place to die like the animals do. If the gov't keeps going as is, seems like a real possibility.

10. nooo, i'm so sorry :(
We put down my lifelong cat Smokey when I was in high school. He was just too old, he couldn't care for himself anymore. It was so sad. I think he ended up heaving a heart attack and my mom had to have him put to sleep. I still miss him after all these years. No cat will ever replace him.

He was the best. I remember he would jump on my stomach and knead my stomach for HOURS. Then he'd turn around and stick his butt in my face to knead some more. Then he'd lay down and go to sleep. It was such a nice feeling. I kinda wish we could have pets in our apartment, but my husband hates cats and my toddler is enough trouble by herself lmao.

about hating cats but then when we got one he was and is the biggest sucker alive.

26. A terrible thing, I know. Lost my resident furball of 15 years a month ago...
an I still haven't really gotten over it.

Renal failure-- that's what got Bastion. From what I hear, seems to be almost epidemic.

Hugs. It is losing a family member.

44. Sorry, yes it's hard. My 1st cat was put down just a few months short of 20 years old.
I found her by the side of the road, covered with fleas, when she was just a week old. Twenty years was a big chunk of my life as well.
