Mass was too long - wah!!

I can't believe it, or maybe I can. My sister's sister-in-law was complaining that mass lasted til 1130PM last night (Saturday). She does readings and whatnot - always goes to church etc.

Excuse me - I thought if you went to church, you were supposed to enjoy it. Main reason I stopped going. It was a chore when I was growing up. How the heck did my mother expect me to keep going if it wasn't enjoyable?

Now with the latest scandal, no way will I go back!

2. Yeah, they had all kinds of things going on

I remember those days of going to stations of the cross every Friday. Fasting and stations on good Friday at 3 in the afternoon. I do remember fainting once because of the incense. went to religion classes all through high school. It didn't stick with me.

What is strange is all these new people that have joined the church. People I went to school with and now have become Catholic holy rollers.

I went a couple of years ago and it wasn't the same. Kids playing video games in the pews, running up and down the aisles. Nobody really paying attention. The quiet meditation feeling was gone.

Ours was 7:30 p.m. to about 9:05 and that was long enough for me!
