The new Coen brothers film with Tom Hanks?
The remake of the classic Ealing Studios' comedy with Alec Guiness from the 50's?
I don't know about this...the original was a classic.

I'll enjoy that!
My opinion: If anyone can remake an Ealing Studio movie (well), it'd be the Coen Bros...

Who wrote The Ladykillers? I thought it was Faulkner, but I'm probably wrong.

William Rose was an American writer, who worked in British films for a decade from 1948; Genevieve (1953) and The Smallest Show on Earth (1957), and wrote five scripts for Ealing between 1954 and 1957 - the most famous being the black comedy The LadyKillers (1955). Rose returned to America to write for Stanley Kramer and others; It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963) and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? (1967).http://www.britmovie.co.uk/biog/r/001.html
