Advice on wireless headphones for TV watching?

My upstairs neighbors and I share a ceiling/floor that is paper-thin, and lots of sounds come through. I'm thinking of getting a wireless headphone set so I can listen to my TV without worrying about the noise level.

I have an older, conventional TV (non-LCD, non-plasma). I've done some preliminary internet research but I'm confused about "radio-frequency" vs. "infra-red" systems, and otherwise could use some general help and advice. The sound quality doesn't have to be anything terrific; my current TV doesn't exactly have stellar sound quality. The system just has to work, and do the job I want: I get to watch/listen to TV at a normal sound level and my neighbors don't hear anything.

1. I've got a pair of radio frequency ones

I forget what brand. I'll check when I get home.

They work great. The only thing I have to do is turn the volume up very high on the TV so that the signal is strong.

I have lots of other gadgets all over my room and never have any problems with interference or anything.

2. I read about consumer concerns with the interference, so that's

good to know. When you can, please let me know which brand and model you have.

I also read consumer complaints about the weight and general fit of the headphones -- which, of course, would vary with the brand and model -- but I'm a bit worried about that aspect of it, too.

3. I've got some RCA Radio Frequency wireless headphones that I use for the same purpose

They work just fine -- I've had them for 4+ years now. I've had to fiddle with the head bands a couple of times, but other than that they've worked great. You can set it to three different channels--there is rarely an issue with interference, but when there is, switching to one of the other channels has always taken care of it.

Generally speaking, I haven't had good luck with RCA products over the last ten years or so, but the headphones have worked out well.
