Was at Fudruckers and saw several bottles of this neon-colored beverage - had no idea the handle 'Faygokid' actually meant something!

So I had to try some. Tastes just like Nehi.

Vernors Ginger Ale - Make sure you put it right up to your face when you open it and take a big gulp really quick!

NOTE: When in Detroit remember, it's POP not SODA!!

ASIDE: I can't recall how many times when I asked for pop here in Cali that the person behind the counter would look at me with a confused face and say "Coffee?" <---WTF??

7. Vernors......

All my Michigan relatives swear by the stuff. When I went up to Flint to meet them my mom told me I had to try it. So I did. No offense, but YUCK! That stuff tasted like over-gingered, over-sweetened ginger ale.

But every Michiganer swears by the stuff...to each his or her own I guess...

Now Canfields Diet Chocolate Soda...yummmmmm

BTW...if in Berkeley there is a drink you might like - Espresso soday. Esentially its 2 shots of espresso and carbonated water. Not bad with a touch of cream and sugar.

It has more calories and more high-fructose corn syrup than most ALL OTHER pop. The kids love it... it's a bit too sweet for my tastes.

13. Didn't Faygo have something like Frosh,

a neon green lemon-lime POP? They also had a diet chocolate for a while.

Also, I believe that Squirt started in west Michigan. I remember it from my childhood in the '60s.

Vernors always makes me sneeze.
