Wouldn't Operation Ultimate Freep just be an epic waste of time?

As I'm sure you are all aware, O.U.F. is a plan they have over in Freeperton to have people register at DU, post innocuously for months and then all unmask in a giant unmasking thread on election night, when Resident George wins his great landslide. What exactly would the point of this be? To do it, you would have to make reasonable points in order to establish a reputation (otherwise no one would give a shit when you unmask) and to avoid banning. So you would have to essentially act like a reasonable person for months, purely to enjoy those fleeting seconds of 'glory' before the big foot drops from the roof, and it's off to Tombstoneland. Therefore, O.U.F. is really a good way to socialize Freepers into making reasonable comments and being civil.
How would this hurt us?

Maybe a DUer went over to Freepburg with this idea, launched it, claiming it would 'paralyse' DU, and now, at this very minute, O.U.F. Freepers are getting the best possible education in being a rational human being. Wouldn't that be deep, deep irony?

Don't forget!! Midnight of election night, everyone is going to un-mask. I have a couple new IDs set up for furture use though. I signed on to one of those cheapie ISP's for a couple months and established a new account every week or so. Best dog gone 20 bucks I've spent in a long time.

You have to be careful and clear your cookie file before each attempt and it's not foolproof since their mods can read some sort of number that is unique to each computer but I work in a computer shop and there are always machines I can use for sign up.
I bet they will shut down registrations before the elections so if you are going to set up accounts, don't wait until the last minute!
