Poll question: Pop,Soda or CokaCola? |
|
And give your geographic location
My experience so far:
Midwest - Pop East coast, West coast - Soda South - CokaCola (regardless of actual TYPE of pop)

7. Here in Michigan, it's always called "pop," generically |
|
Well, maybe not ALWAYS -- but that's how I think of it. John We also play Euchre here, and say "jeet" when inquiring whether or not a person has had lunch or dinner yet.

8. I was raised on "pop", but I say "soda" on occasion. |
|
Also, I've learned to order "a cola", because I got tired of hearing "We don't have Coke, would you like a Pepsi instead?" or vice versa.

My East Coast cousins insist it's "soda". "Soda" is what you mix with scotch. If I ask for a "scotch and soda", the bartender doesn't ask if I want root beer or Mountain Dew...
