I fell in love with a girl a few years ago, who kept me at a "best friend's distance" for a long time. When the 1996 "women becoming lesbians for the hell of it" fad hit, she immediately turned lesbian (even though she'd only been with boys before) and wouldn't even think of being in a relationship with me.
