By that I mean everyone has a picture in mind of someone who really trips his/her trigger. Tall, dark, handsome, etc. Most of those trigger-tripping experiences - for me - might have been explosive but were short-lived. All seemed perfect from the outside looking in. And that was it.

As the years have gone by, I've realized what attracts me most is a sort of dry sense of humor, particularly the kind that's a little "off". Perhaps because I'm a little "off" myself. A way with words, being able to share those intimate jokes and innuendoes that make everyday life and problems seem not so deadly serious, and which put that little sparkle in both of our eyes. Compassion, kindness and intelligence. Integrity.

To enjoy being with him enough to not sweat the small shit.
