She got such a bad reaction from us a couple of times that's she is actually embarrassed now when she poots.

edited because I'm a lousy proof reader.

4. Mine has no shame whatsoever.
When I protest, he looks at me as though he is surprised that I don't think they smell like beautiful roses.

I am going to get even though. I'm going to eat a bunch of broccoli and take him for a ride in the car (he loves the car) and hold the windows shut. That'll show him :nuke:

9. Not exactly, but there's a pet dietary supplement
called "Missing Link" available in most larger pet stores and it will aid in smoother digestion, - which will dramatically cut down on the amount of wind Fideaux breaks. Erm...he'll crap more, though.

18. Well, one of mine won't go in the yard at all...he MUST go for a
walk. And if the weather is rainy...well, he'll hold it until he bursts. Makes me nervous.

There is a canned product for digestion made of tripe, of all things..I think it's called "green tripe" or something. It seems disgusting to me....

Why not try some acidophilis--empty a capsule into each meal...Get that digestive flora going.....

19. If you seriously want to alleviate your dog's gas -
try elevating his food dish (they make trays for dogs, but you could improvise something) and feed him a reduced-fat chow (Eukanuba works best for our little gas-bag.) If their head is elevated when they eat they don't gulp nearly as much air, thus, there's less to come out.

Wish we'd learned that about seven years earlier than we did - woulda saved a lot of grief!

23. Thanks I'll do that
He burps a lot too and does eat his food like the bowl is on fire...I had called the vet because I was worried he had problems and he didn't think it was an issue..he aleady gets a fairly low fat formula as he is a sporting dog and weighs 80 lbs (and is still growing...huge even by Golden Retriever standards)
I just figure if he has so much gas, he must have lots of tummy aches too.

I will elevate his bowl though. I have a little table out back I can try this with.

24. My dog what fart in his sleep
and wake himself up and look around like "what was that". He'd turn around and start licking his butt, digging for cling-ons. He'd be in there so deep and so long that he would run out of air and come up buck-snorting and back-washing. He was a real goof.
