The mother of a child who brought a bag of cocaine to preschool surrendered to Indianapolis police Thursday night.
Andrea D. Jackson, 23, turned herself in around 10 p.m. at the department's North District headquarters at 42nd Street and College Avenue.
After her 4-year-old son brought 48 grams of crack cocaine to his Head Start class on Monday, Jackson and the boy's father, Kenneth Green, 24, were charged with dealing and possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and neglect of a dependent.
Investigators did not say whether Green and Jackson had been together after the case started to develop on Monday. They continue to search for Green.
Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi said Green was the main dealer in this case.
