Myself, I'm going to pick my wife up from her job at 11:30 and then head out of Vegas to a place far enough away to escape all the light pollution. Then we're going to check out Mars, the moon, and whatever else we can find that's interesting with some binoculars. The sky and the weather should be perfect for it. I have read that using a pair of decent binoculars, Mars will look the same size as the full moon to the naked eye.
I've seen Jupiter and Saturn through a small telescope before and they're pretty interesting although it's hard to make out much without something more professional in quality.
Since my wife and I have different work schedules we have very little time to share together, so this is a big thing for us.
I hope the rest of you will enjoy your evening too. :)
