Seriously, something to think about.
I really believe that Jeb was the first choice as the presidential candidate had he won his governor election in 1994. He didn't come off as goofy and didn't have as questionable of background as his brother George.
But the planned got messed up when Jeb lost the governor race in 1994 and the repukes had to start cleaning up George to make him the candidate.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?

1. George was inaugurated as TX Governor in Jan. 1995. |

So, he'd already been cleaned up.

Jeb was the first choice. Jeb is definitely smarter that George but just as evil IMO.

After eight years of Clinton there were some in the gop who really wanted to turn the clock backwards and run George Bush. They knew they couldn't really run Papa Bush but they could run someone with the same name. Kind of like the Eddie Murphy movie, The Distinguished Gentleman.
