I can't remember but one movie about Karen Carpenter. Maybe there were more than one, but I don't remember it. Now I know that Zomby is a sick bastard. Oh, well.

5. SUPERSTAR ! ! !

This is the student film masterpiece made by Todd Haynes (dir. Far From Heaven, Safe, Velvet Goldmine). It is the Karen Carpenter story told entirely with Barbie Dolls and it is surprisingly moving, informative and chilling.

It cannot, to my knowledge, ever be legally shown or distributed due to pending lawsuits by both the Carpenter's estate and Mattel.

If you know someone with a tenth generation copy they taped off someone, for God's sake see it. It is beautiful.
