1. wontcha call me some time?
You said you loved me baby
please call me on the phone some time.
When I hear your voice
you know it ease my worried mind.

One of these days
I'm gonna show you how nice a man can be.
I'm a buy you you a brand new Cadillac
if ya only speak some good words about me.

Hear my phone a ringin'
sounds like a long distance call.
I picked up my receiver
the party said "another mule is kickin' in your stall."
(I'm gonna kill that mule.)

2. The Same Thing
What makes a man go crazy when a woman wears her dress so tight
What makes a man go crazy when a woman wears that ol' dress so tight
Must be the same ol' thing that make a tom cat fight all night

Now, why do all the big men try to run a big-legged woman down
Now, why do all the big men try to run a big ol' woman down
Must be the same ol' thing that makes a bulldog a huggling 'round

It's that ol' same thing, now tell me who's to blame
The whole world is fighting about that ol' same thing

What make you feel so good when your baby's in her evening gown
When your baby get a little bit of an evening gown
Must be that same ol' thing that makes a preacher lay his bible down

It's that ol' same thing, it's that ol' same thing

Whoa baby
look how you got me standin' round cryin'
I know I don't love you little girl
but you're always restin' on my mind.

Whoa baby
I ain't gonna ride you 'round in my automobile
Whoa baby
I ain't gonna ride you 'round in my automobile
You done got so many men
Tell you I afraid you may get me killed.

Whoa baby
You ain't nothin' like you used to be
Whoa baby
You ain't nothin' like you used to be
When I was deep in love with you little girl
You were just sweeter than apple on a tree.

4. I got his autograph at a concert once
did it for a friend. Wish I'd gotten one for myself. He was about a week older than dirt then, but man, could he play that gee-tar.

6. Saw him in 1973
At the Holiday Inn, Aspen.

We were sitting at a front table in a room full of cocktail cocks and preeners who didn't have a fucking collective clue or blue bone - loud talking & drinking, bullshitting.

During his first number, Muddy gazed over the crowd for about 30 seconds until settling his gaze and smile on my table, knowing then who to play for the rest of the night. And he played to just us for 2 hours of heaven...when he did "Standin' Round Cryin'," I was sittin' round cryin'.

8. That is so cool, Bundbuster!
I think it was in 1978 that I saw him. What a great show that was. Fortunately, I saw him at an actual concert, where people had paid specifically to see Muddy.
