I offended my mom.

I thought it would be neat to express my political opinion on my answering machine. You know how people say, " I can't come to the phone right now...yada, yada." Well,I said, "I can't come to the phone right now because I'm praying for my country. The Bush administration is leading it straight to Hell. If you would like to join me,leave your telephone number and a message."
My Mom (R-Stern) was the first caller and she left an icey message to the effect that the message is offensive no matter what party you belong to.
Any ideas for a new one? I have always admired the wit of DU.
Maybe something about fundies.......?

It was one of those "talking as if I really answered the phone" messages. Pissed her off big time. Fooled her for a couple of years.

I pray also for this country a lot, and my prayers aren't the same prayers that rightwing Christians are praying. if they can pray for the country by asking that God continue appoint bozos like Chimpy McWhittleAss, then I can pray that God bring some wisdom and guidance to the asshole's decision making processes.
