Dear God I'm without adult supervision for the next two weeks!!!
Alley and Mini-Alley are on their way an animal rescue ranch near Kanab Ut. They will be there for a week, and then they will move on to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon for a week. I could not get the time off work so here I sit with a perilously thin supply of clean socks, and no vices to speak of..

Years ago I used to run around doing stuff with fellow bachelor buddies but now I'm married and housebroken.. Now what? :scared:

handful of years ago, i learned, he doesnt enjoy so much. he doesnt feel right. so now, it isnt fun for me to take kids off on mini vacations. we wait for him to take a monday or friday off and take off, all four of us.

Now what?....... enjoy the peace and quiet? get a book, lol lol?

3. I think this is going to be hard on the cats too.
They are staring at the can opener and I'm staring at the fridge, it's good to have opposable thumbs.

I think Man Cub is going to do well, when I got home for work there were two empty frozen dinner boxes left on the island.

He ain't getting any cash until the dishes are done and his mess cleaned up.

21. Us kids used to spend our summers in florida with our father..
when we left to head back to school, he would have a hard time sleeping for a few weeks because it was too quiet.

same happens to me. when kids little here 24/7 so when they werent in house, felt the energy but body not here.

same happens when they start school again. or they are going to their grandparents for a couple weeks and feel it then. takes a couple days for all that left behind energy to go away so you arent feeling a void

My tribe went away for a couple of weeks once and I started watching the tube. Took me months to break the habit. :scared:

14. I do, but I'm waiting on delivery on a climbing harness.
I have to re-rig a staysail halyard (rope that lifts the second forward sail), which means I have to go up my mast. Not possible with out a bosun's chair or a climbing harness. I am going down there tomorrow afternoon to do a bit of maintenance, and hang out near the water.

As for the laundry I may just buy more socks..

11. RoadTrip!
My girlfriend has to go to Japan for three weeks. She does not enjoy the open road like I do, so I am taking the dog to Quebec! I will check out the Gaspe Peninsula. I have never been there and thought it would be really cool to check out for the July 4th weekend plus an extra day....az lot of driving, but I am too curious to pass on the opportunity!

When we were on vacation one year, he remodeled the bathroom. He was such a wonderful man. He built our house and the addition when we got older!
