Post Partum Postman Blues.
Do you await anxiously for your mail to come? Is the mail arrival the highpoint of your day? Do you look forward to an expected check? Or perhaps a welcome letter from a long lost friend.

I have been waiting for several pieces of mail. Yes one is a check. One is a government copyright form. I am also expecting a book sent to me by JitterbugPerfume. She is sending me an English Japanese Dictionary. I have been sending her books I have about Japan. It is a fun thing to do. We look forward to our mail. Senior citizens do that-look forward to mail, contact with the out side world.

The other day I received surprise mail from the Commanding Officer USNAVSCOL Explosive Ordnance Disposal. The manila envelope contained pictures of a Russian Mine I was involved in the recovery of in Korea summer of 52. Also enclosed was an invitation to the thirty sixth annual EOD Ball. Sometimes fun exciting mail like that comes.

Most often there is nothing really interesting in the mail. Credit card applications, all manner of peoples and places wanting money.

But here I sit everyday looking forward to an interesting contact with the outside world brought to me by the postman. When the postman leaves me nothing it is then I suffer Post Partum Postman Blues.

Now I am looking forward to the gift from JitterbugPerfume. I know that will come in my mail because she told me so.
