French lawyer to defend Saddam Hussein

I just thought that was too perfect -- a nice poetic closure for the whole farce.

The "French lawyer" in question is Jaques Verges, btw, who has made a career out of defending people like Klaus Barbie, Carlos the Jackal, and Slobodan Milosevic.
