DU Phish fans...
I would venture that this is probably an older demographic, however, do they exist?

9. I did Vegas last year
Great venue at the Thomas & Mack, and the fans who come are like professional Phisheads...older, because they have to afford to be able to get there, get hotels, etc. Makes for a chiller vibe in the shakedown.

Last year, after the 2/15 show, me and my friend went to go see the moe. aftershow. Dickie Betts and Mike Gordon came out and played with them.

Phaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattt.

12. older than phish?
Do you mean you think most fans are older than the band or most fans here? 24 here and most of the shows I've seen tend toward the coveted 18-35 demographic.
By the by, quite the phan myself. Spent the past coupla NYE celebrating with the guys. No way I can afford vegas though.

6. Widespread Panic first, Phish second, for me.
Edited on Sat Mar-27-04 05:28 PM by DenverDem
To my experience Panic has more depth in perfomance impact and lyric content. Phish is technically superior, they can play the hell out of their instruments.

John Bell's voice and soul, make Panic a more satisfying experience for me.

Still love Phish and have over a hundred of their live shows in my disc collection.

confirm/disprove the rumor that I keep hearing that the fantastic Austin band The Gourds is somehow a Phish/Leftover Salmon hybrid. (As in made up of members/ex-members or something...) I can't find anything to substantiate this, yet some Phish-head (Phishead?) people I know insist that it's true...?

edit: This is the line-up:
