1. My last (and favorite) cat was a tuxedo cat -- though short-haired and LANKY...
.
.
.
.
.
...but she s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d out lengthwise FOREVER.
.
.
.
They all have attitude (though she was the most
AFFECTIONATE cat I've ever had by FAR.
.
.
.
IF I get into a situation where I can get a cat again...
I think I'm going to try very hard for another tuxedo.
.
.
.
Mine took to walking on a leash IMMEDIATELY like a
champ. She LOVED to go for walks. Ever try yours?

3. I tried taking him for a walk.
But he beat up two rottweilers down the street and the neighbor got a restraining order on him.

Actually he's too fat and lazy to walk, he sort of just lumbers about.

His twin sister might like it though. She's a petite little thing. I'll give it a try. :)

14. Me too, absolutely! Fave cat was a tuxedo, would get another one in a heartbeat...
...just as soon as I'm done with school & have a job closer to home so I can spend more time playing with a kitteh!

My baby Mogli crossed the Rainbow Bridge two years ago and I miss him still:

5. His name is Leo.
Leo's a big teddybear. Loudest purr I've ever heard. He's about 22lbs

His sister is Saydee. They were rescue cats. We were just looking for one cat, but couldn't stand to break them up.

Here's a shot of Saydee.

7. So glad DUers love tuxedo cats. They're the last ones adopted,
so says the Denver Dumb Friends League. We recently lost our tuxedo Helen, one of the Pleasure Twins, who, with her sister, Lydia, made the trip out west to Colorado from upstate New York 15 years ago at the age of 7 weeks, nursing on a very compliant (and obviously not lactating) German Shepherd mix.

Tuxedo kitties are the absolute best!

12. We got our last kitty from the shelter seven years ago ...
I can tell you I'm STILL haunted by a couple kitties we didn't take. I can envision their faces meowing at me. Still, I keep telling myself it's better to help one kitty than no kitties.

20. Same here.
I even remember their names. I ended up choosing the cat who was cowering in a dark part of the hutch in terror. I wish that I could've left with three cats that day.

32. well this is how much of a pussy (pun intended) I am: I went to a No Kill Shelter
knowing I could only adopt one kitty and truly fearing I'd go home with 5 or 6 if I thought their days were numbered. As for the doggies, I couldn't even go near their kennels, or I'd've ended up with more than Cesar Milan.

As for Tuxedos, I had one a long time ago, a big Tom named Morgul. He was the dumbest, laziest, clumsiest cat I've ever cared for. Good thing he was so pretty!

22. I've heard that about black cats.
I have two black cats. They'd both been in the shelter for a very long time. People can still be superstitious. My little black cats are the best. Please; if you know someone who is considering adopting a cat, recommend a black kitty. They don't get many breaks in this world.

You'll see far more black cats than anything. I have one. She's a pain in the butt, but I wouldn't give her up for anything.

24. That is a bee-yoo-ti-full tuxie, bluesbassman!!
I've had 2 myself, and have one now. My big Bear cat is a former feral, and after trapping and neutering him, he just never left the area, so I brought him in, and he just adapted, and in spite of being ear-tipped and formerly wild, he's gotten to where he'll come up and snuggle on occasion. I take it as a great honor.

All cats are special, but tuxies DO have their charms, don't they? :)

25. Tuxes are the best kitties.
I am currently owned by one, and Mu is my shadow. He needs to be wherever I am, and sleeps at the foot of my bed.

He's in my sigline with his sister, Missy.

Those are some pretty kitties. Rub them up for me.

He's almost as big as my Maine Coon Oberon! Must be great for spooning. :-)

My tuxedo cat Merrimack was enjoying a little brotherly love from Pippin today on the studio guest bed:

Looks like my dearly departed Boomer(aptly named because he was scared to death of thunder). Beautiful Boy! Wish my Boomer was still around. I miss him, even though I still have 8 kittehs and 4 of their dog slaves. What can I say? I live in a kennel. I only get to stay here because I provide the Noms!
