4. I'm very glad that you have found something to relieve you from
your suffering. I also have dealt with horrible back pain and it's absolute HELL. I hope you feel better real soon. :-)

10. I also understand the pain and the need for relief from it.
Pain, when it remains unchecked, raises your blood pressure, makes you lose concentration and narrows your arteries. I'm not saying that people should use Morphine for a headache, but serious pain that is chronic needs to be relieved.

7. And to add I'm still unemployed
Been to countless interviews where I thought I did well, and in the end, they either never contacted me again, or rejected me

Frustration that no drug can kill....:grr:

9. I had morphine for the first time in the last few weeks - WHEEEEE!!!
I can see the recreational attraction, but I had it because of shattered vertebrae (through an IV). I'm out of the hospital, but I may see if my GP will prescribe the MS Contin. Is that a generic?

Thanks for the tip!

12. My husband called it "Morphini"
He got Morphine once, before a surgical procedure. He was still flying high when he called me at work; we had the funniest conversation. Ever since then, our family has taken to calling it "Morphini."

14. Ain't dat the troof...
If you're 'stuck', Magnesium Citrate is your friend.
It comes in a 6 oz bottle, is overly-sweet lemony flavor and may be improved by chilling.
It'll cure what ails ya, if what ails ya is constipation.
You don't need a script for it, either.
Stay close to a bathroom after taking...and read the label.
It can kick in pretty quickly, and then you'll need to GO.

Stewed Prunes (believe it or not, they're quite palatable this way)
Take as many dried prunes as you intend on eating the next few days...
put them in a covered saucepan with enough water to cover.
Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
Throw in (amount depends upon how many prunes you grabbed) cinnamon, allspice, and NO MORE THAN TWO whole cloves. Cover the pan and let it sit overnight.
The prunes will absorb the water and spices. Really rather good.

Seriously, if you're on opiates, try not to let more than a day go by without dumping. Opiates slow down peristalsis, so your lower intestine has more time to extract water from what used to be food. If you don't take action to speed things up and/or keep water in it, by the time it gets to where it's going, you'll feel like you're trying to give birth to spiked bricks :hurts:...
a sensation devoutly to be avoided. :yoiks:
