Funniest parrot story I've read so far...
I saw this on another message board:

So yesterday I bought Gandalf (my African Grey parrot) a new playpen because his old one was too big for our new apartment.

Not even five seconds after I put him on the new playpen he said "Oh god, this sucks!".

What an ungrateful little brat!

It just proves a point that I've been saying for years... parrots don't take flak from anyone or anything.
Either that or they are just the avian incarnate of "little man syndrome".

1. I can just picture a parrot doing that.

Particularly a Grey, since they're so smart and such great talkers (who understand what they're talking about).

2. Greys are so imperious
They can do the hairy eyeball better than any cat.

3. And cats are damn good at doing the hairy eyeball!
I've never seen a Grey doing it, but I'm picturing it right now.

6. And that was Charlotte!
With me behind the camera and laughing, and getting the "whammy." (Dirty look.)

:D

She got even with me.
Charlotte jumped off the windowsill onto my bed right next to my head, at 3 am scaring me half to death. :-)

7. I didn't realize that was your cat.
I thought it was just something you had found on youtube. After seeing that look, I'm not the least bit surprised that she did that. You probably weren't surprised either (after the fact). :-)

8. Our Grey had it down to an art form.
She could also do the "Damn. You are soooo dumb." stare.

Grey don't think they're better than we are; they know it.

9. Mom's parakeet used to nag at my brother 'Stop it, Gene, dammit!"
and sometimes, he'd bark like the dog next door to get it in trouble. :hi:
