I was staying up Playing my Xbox very early Saturday Morning at about 4 in the morning when I got a call on my cell phone. On the other end was a recorded message claiming to be from the security department from my bank saying that my debit card had been suspended on suspicion of it being used by a third party. I was then asked to enter my card number. I sensed something was hinky and immediatley hung up and called my bank's emergency 24 hour line that you use to report if your card has been lost or stolen. I did the right thing. Apparently, I was almost the victim of an identity theft scam. Don't let this happen to you!

They're going to get much more creative. I was called the other day by someone saying that because I had done an online purchase I was getting a prize of $? worth of free gas. When I asked what purchase that had been she said she didn't have that information but I was being rewarded for... That's about when I hung up.
