I am watching the old Burns and Allen show on Netflix, Gracie seemed to be a hoot.

I think what I liked most is when George would break the fourth wall of TV and
speak directly to the audience about the show.

My favorite is "Gunsmoke" -- William Conrad ("Cannon"/"Jake & The Fatman") as
Matt Dillon. Grittier and better than the wonderful TV show from the 60's --
Dillon is somewhat more of a pragmatic anti-hero and Kitty is more obviously
a shady saloon lady.

Chester is Chester -- his comic relief is one of the better aspects of the show.

I am sure that Youtube has a few episodes to watch.

The show went from 1950-1958 so a lot of us would have been to young to remember.

The show is funny, brought to you by Carnation Milk.

I don't think I have every bought Carnation Milk for any reason.

3. I once fell out of bed laughing so hard

at one of their radio shows. And I remember catching the old Burns & Allen TV show late at night on CBN.

on edit: At first, their act was reverse; Gracie was the straight man & George was the comic. They bombed, so George reversed their roles & their act took off like a rocket. He *always* gave Gracie credit for that.

4. Gracie was a comic genius

I love her...I named my daughter with her in mind.

5. We used to watch it when I was a kid. I loved Gracie.

There was something about her total innocence and cluelessness that I always found to be endearing.

I saw George Burns on tv a few years before his death. It was clear to see that Gracie was still the love of his life.

7. I can barely remember it on TV

They have been carried on many radio stations over the years.
Hilarious and clean.
"where did you get the flowers Gracie"
"O you know George. You told me to visit Mary in the hospital and be sure to take her flowers?"
"Yes and so...?"
"So I visited her and when her back was turned I took her flowers."
