so I was diagnosed with a stress fracture to the wrist today

anyone ever had one and how long will I have to wear this damned splint?

Doc says take it easy for two weeks and all good..sound right?

Actually, I have no idea, since I've never had one. I hope he's right, and that you'll be healing soon...

Your wrist is an awfully mobile area, so I hope you wear your splint as directed for the maximum good.

Is the fracture on your dominant hand?

3. I think it'll be more than a couple of weeks

Stress fractures are fractures. Although they're not as bad as when a bone actually breaks apart. Maybe keeping in the splint is for a couple of weeks. You'll know when you take off the splint whether you need to keep it on longer. I broke my wrist and I had to wear a cast for weeks. I was a kid so it wasn't so bad. I had everyone write on it so it got pretty dirty but I loved it. I ended up getting tired of it and sticking my arm in a bucket of water and tearing the thing off. My wrist was OK though.

doc said hairline stress fracture..actually he gave it a tec name..an ulner something something.Basically I cracked it.

And the dominant hand...guess the pron sites are going to get a rest :)
