We have a winner. No more calls please.

Note that the Texas/Mexico border is entirely over water (the Rio Grande).

5. Philadelphia...
I had a GREAT time there a few years ago.

But in 1987, not so good. Got a front tooth knocked out and my lip was turned into hamburger. I've told this story on DU... but I was driving around Philly, looking for a hotel for my injured, bloody self. Couldn't find any place that would give me a room. Called a big hotel in Allentown. Guy said he would save me a room. When I got there, he took one look at the blood all over my shirt and my toothless grin, and my lip, and said that he made a mistake and there were no rooms available.

I said "You gotta be Sthittin' me".

7. The Rio Grande doesn't border Florida, it borders with the state of New England.
Florida borders Mexico via FDR Dr.

Christ, it's like some of you people never went to school.

17. I remember this time I was crossing over from Yellowstone to Liberia through the Grand Canyon
but checked my GPS and it said I was on the Tappan Zee Bridge so I looked around, and lo and behold, I was!

I felt so stupid that day. I had no idea I was near water!

11. to be accurate
they weren't states back then, just territories. Oregon Territory (jointly occupied by GB and US) and the Louisiana Purchase.
