I would say anything a person puts above God is an idol to them. A person could have many different types of things as an idol. To say someone idolizes something is also to claim to know how important someone sees something compared to their beliefs.
So something being an idol to a person is how they see something, and how they think about it.
The enterprise, 1701 I always thought of that as |70|. Never really new why... But I think of some things, some might idolize, simply as |do|, I like that perception better.
And regardless of what faults the singer might or might not have, for all people have weaknesses and faults, I like this song. And actually think someone singing a song if seen with perspective of love, shows something good in that song.
Although I may disagree with some of the views of people, I still can understand and even identify with some of the same struggles I have been through. I wish the singer the best, even though I disagree with some imagery and thoughts in some of his songs, I can also see parts of his songs in a great light, and maybe that is his intent.
And I like this song, and if it offends anyone, I remember something "and these things you will do also" So I do not see comments in many things the same as everyone else might.
Billy Idol.
Eyes Without A Face.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpmWIyjilQoI also see the song as the retelling of the story of David and the General, so I like that part of the song also. With the chorus in the background "Pleasures all we got"
