9. I think "Tombstone" might be my single most favorite movie of all time.
I know I have watched it at least 100 times...AT LEAST.

I worked at a company in the late 1980s, and my department decided that as a "team building" activity, we were going to go to the home of one of our department members and watch it. At this time, there was no DVD...just the VHS tape...but they'd set their VCR / TV / Stereo up into a pretty impressive home entertainment system, and that sucker was loud and impressive. I liked the movie before that, but ever since that day, I know what it's like to watch it and FEEL it.

Here are five movies I have on DVD, that I like to watch at a moment's notice, without waiting for them to come from Netflix:

1). Tombstone

2). Goodfellas

3). The Godfather

4). The Godfather II

5). Unforgiven

16. "Tombstone"!
Saw it for the first time a few years ago, Biker13 turned me on to it. I LOVE that film!

Sherman McMasters: Where is he?
Doc Holliday: Down by the creek, walking on water.

Doc Holliday: Maybe poker just isn't your game, Ike. I know! Let's have a spelling contest!

Lordy, I laughed my ass off!

Most of you are thinking "My five favorite films" or "The five best films of all time." I say you can get all of those from a library or a video store. To me, you should own five movies that serve specific purposes. For example:

1) I think everyone should own "The Lion King" because everyone might need to entertain a kid at some point. "Toy Story" and "Finding Nemo" also work.

2) I'm a Led Zeppelin fan. I own the two disc set "Led Zeppelin - DVD" (yes, they spent months thinking up the name), because I can either watch it, or I can put it in a laptop with headphones on, and listen to the music while I work. Bottom line - you should own one great concert film in your genre of choice.

3) Nothing makes a plane ride go faster, or gets you more interesting looks from your fellow passengers, than "Secretary" with Maggie Gyllenhall and James Spader. Warning - you can't watch with company executives, kids, or co-workers who scream to company executives like kids. "Nine and a Half Weeks" or a host of other films that are sexy, but not technically porn, could fill this need.

4) I've had some bad days in my life, like we all have. Even on a bad day, Richard Pryor can make me laugh, so I recommend either owning "Richard Pryor: Wanted Live In Concert" or "Richard Pryor Live on the Sunset Strip." This is another great way to speed up a plane ride. "Young Frankenstein", "The Hangover", "Monty Python & The Holy Grail", or "Airplane" could also fill this slot, if you weren't a Pryor fan.

5) Sometimes, I need a PG to PG-13 rated, fairly mindless romantic comedy to watch with Mrs. OBD. My recommendation here is "You've Got Mail" with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. Other films you could own instead to fit this category include the R-rated (for language) "Four Weddings and a Funeral", "Sleepless in Seattle" (which I personally detest), "Joe Versus the Volcano" (which I love), or "One Fine Day."

13. Don't laugh!
One of my favorites of all time: The Long Kiss Goodnight, haven't a clue as to why.
The Lord of The Rings, if I have to pick just one of the three, its The Two Towers. I say all three count as a single story.
Enemy of the State...did anybody else happen to notice the bad guy's date of birth is Sept. 11? (made in 98)
Heart Breakers. Funny!
Gladiator.

The only reason I didn't include the Corporation is I don't own it.
