The cat that was left to me by my deceased father took a PISS on the toss pillow on my couch. GD'it I have had a horrible day and now PISS on my damn toss pillow. That pillow is going to be tossed out in the garbage can in a few minutes. I am very good to this cat but he is having a problem with my other cat.:argh: :puke:

1. I am so sorry you are having a rough day. That sort of thing most definitely doesn't help. :^( |

I thought that I smelled cat urine in my apartment but I wasn't sure about it. Now I know that he has been marking territory all over the place.

3. I have 2 16 yo cats who were separated for a week a while back and when I |
|
brought them back together again there was a lot of peeing and growling and so forth going on for about a week before they decided they loved each other again. I used up a lot of Febreez that week.
I hope it doesn't take long for your dad's cat to get settled in. :(

They have been together for over a year now. They hate each others guts and I don't know what to do but I won't be given either one of them away. They have to deal with each other because they don't have a choice. My dad's last wish on his death bed was to take care of his cat kid that he had rescued from the freezing cold over eight years ago. My dad died right after I promised him that I would take care of his kitty for him. He is special to me now and I love both of them but they are at war with each other. They hated each others guts eight years ago when they were put together in the same house and we separated them.
Sorry about being so long winded. At least your cats get along.

5. My kittehs are litter mates so there was never a problem getting them acclimated to each other. I am |
|
glad that my dad's cat predeceased him because I dunno what we would have done with him. :( I think 2 kittehs is this trailer's limit. (The only thing he made us promise was that we kids not fight with each other when it came time to divide up the stuff.)
If the febreez doesn't work other DUers have mentioned some serious pet deodorizing products. I am sure they would be happy to tell you which ones work the best. :)

Feliway? It worked to stop my formally feral kitties from marking territory, fighting with the cats here already and even calmed them down enough that they let me pet them. I used the plug in for the family room and bedroom then the spray if I caught them marking anywhere else. I also used odor mute to get rid of the marked territory odors first. It was worth every cent because they no longer mark or fight and one is even a lap cat now days. I never thought that would happen since we couldn't get with in 3 feet of them for years.

Years ago my cat peed on the liner of my new $250 leather jacket my wife bought me for xmas. I called around to see if anyone could clean it and everyone told me to throw the jacket away.

15. Try putting them on either side of a closed door. Give them each a kitty litter. That |
|
way they can get used to each other without getting into tiffs. Once they are pawing each other in a friendly way through the slit at the bottom of the door...and want to connect...open the door.

Extreme Stain+ Odor Remover. It's best stuff I've ever used. PetsMart carries it.
