How do I get glue off a /mp3 player screen?

I peeled the advertizing cover off an .mp3 player screen, and it left that semi-transparent sticky glue behind.

How can I get that crap off?

1. Rubbing alcohol will work, but be careful not to let it get puddily and enter in under the screen.

2. A hammer and chisel should do the trick.

3. My favorite trick for that kind of thing...

...it takes a while, but it doesn't damage the surface.

Get some Scotch tape, make a loop around your finger with the sticky side out, and slowly and methodically use your finger to "blot up" the sticky residue.

Works like a charm. You may need to change the tape several times depending on how much gunk you have to clean up.

5. Mayonnaise

Massage mayonnaise over and around the sticky stuff. The oil in the mayonnaise will prevent the glue from sticking and smearing to the clean areas and ball-up. Wipe oil off when the glue has been lifted. Simple.

My neighbor suggested it.

7. Duct tape.

It either works or makes things worse.

Just be careful not to let it get inside the player
