Just found out this morning that my client sent me a RUBBER CHECK. |
|
1). Deposited the check
2). Bank released the funds to me
3). Spent all but $20
4). Found out my account balance is -$110 because I did not know the check was printed on fucking RUBBER
5). Phoned the client (he's in Texas) and very politely said "I need you to Fed Ex a new check for the previous amount plus the $10 penalty fee my bank is charging me."
Haven't heard back from him yet. He's an attorney. This does not help the overall public perception that people have of attorneys. And the next time he sends me a check, the services won;t be provided until the check clears.

1. When the politely thing doesn't work |
|
You gotta step it up to "if you don't send me my damn money I'm gonna have both of your legs broken!"
I'm right up the road from him in Oklahoma and I'm looking for some side work

3. My *boss* used to pay me with rubber |
|
contract stuff, you see. But this guy (affectionately known as the "Little Dunce") once actually managed to print his payroll on rubber, by withdrawing all the money to put a down payment on his new house!! :dunce:

7. Not a good way for him to do business if he expects to |
|
ever work with you again.
I hope he isn't someone who gives you repeat business.
