If there is a scale that is out of balance, someone has to balance it.
Not saying anyone needs to do it, just that someone does.
But you do make a good point.
If a person is starving, someone needs to feed them, if someone is on fire, someone needs to put it out, if someone is drowning someone needs to swim in, if someone is thirsty someone needs to get them water.
The 'need' is based on concepts based on views, hence the problem, some people think of things differently.
Leading by good example, also assumes a shared value system, there is a doctrine many have that good examples are actions of suckers. Really there are groups that think being nice is someone playing into there hands and the person is in the wrong. It is a complicated belief system, but it includes superiority complexes and a few other things.
You hear that doctrine in a few posts, the idea of people wanting your money, so they want you to fight for something so you give to try and get it done, but they do nothing because you do not threaten or hurt them. Also it is heard in concepts of milking posted in another thread, where the belief is some people exist to help a small group, and they are suppose to do that. Sheep to be sheared, and then a claim by some to reap that reward is part of that doctrine. They want people to be like them and be violent or to destroy if some correction is needed.
