Well, I went to the Humane Society and spent some time with Olive and decided to give her a home. She's a very strong and rambunctious pup but she's a real sweetie, not aggressive or vicious at all. I love her :)

Thanks for all the love, support and encouragement. It's been a difficult week for us and I don't know what I would have done without all of you.

Olive is a great dog but her handlers so far have had no idea about how to raise and train up a pup of this type. I can tell she's been allowed to get away with a lot of stuff I would have squelched so we have a difficult task ahead of us, but we will persevere . I think she's going to be a great dog :)

Been really busy getting Olive settled into her new home and haven't had time to look in here until now. Thanks so much everybody for all the support, it means a lot. We had a memorial service for Birdie to say our goodbyes this evening. It's still hard but getting better every day.

An interesting side note: I spoke with Olive's former trainer today and she filled me in about her. The funniest part was when she told me about her adult male Doberman that likes to play rough house with the dogs that come there to stay. She said he's out rough-housed every dog he's ever played with except for one. Yep, you guessed it, she said by the time Olive was through with him he was lying in the corner on his back panting like a maniac and didn't want any more of that at all! :rofl:
