2) Someone to buy my clothes for me so that I always dressed with somewhat of a sense of fashion.
3) I'd have a wonderful hairdresser who kept my hair looking the best it could be.

Hm. Well. The "frivolous" things would be, maybe, a pair of really nice pearl earrings (*really* nice), and several good pairs of shoes and dresses and jeans and sweaters and skirts and blazers and a good handbag or two. I like clothes. I have to admit it. Not huge quantities of clothes - I'm not really an 'acquirer' - but I do like well-made, non trendy clothes and jewelry. Jewelry would need to be estate, though, or eco-friendly. No blood diamonds or river-poisoning gold. Everything would need to be 'cruelty free' so I'd probably buy a lot of Stella McCartney.

A few times a week, massages and yoga instruction would be nice. A facial now and then. Some pampering.

The ability to afford to travel comfortably.

Also, probably, a fair amount of design and art books. I love fiction, which is why I love my local library. But there are some beautiful books with beautiful images I'd like to be able to view regularly.

A maid, because I just don't have the will to dust, or to mop floors.

And money to plant and maintain a lovely garden - lots of flowers, and someone to help me with the planting.

A good hairstylist, too.

A beautiful antique pine table and lots of comfy chairs to go around it so anyone who dropped in could sit at the table and have tea or coffee and scones.

And a simple cottage somewhere along the coast. Could be a one room cottage (so long as it had hot water and indoor plumbing, I'd be fine).

Someone to go do the grocery shopping for me, then bring it all here into the house.

That would be a dream come true for me.

That way I could avoid going to the grocery store(s) altogether and still get everything I want. All I would have to do is put the groceries away.

I wouldn't mind that part (putting the groceries away). It's going out in either 20 degree or 100 degree weather (it seems to always be one of those or the other, nothing in between) that annoys the hell out of me. Not only that, I just hate having to drag the buggy around through the store. I only shop for groceries every 2 weeks, so the buggy just gets heavier and heavier as I go along. It's a pain.

Then, someone wants to be all friendly with me and talk. Talking. Pfft. That's the LAST thing I want to do in a grocery store.

Or worse, they want to make faces at me because I bought all 3 of the red peppers. Hey, it's not my fault fucking Food Lion rations the damn red, yellow, and orange peppers. They rarely have more than 2 or 3 of those and about 40 of the greens ones. Half the time, the whole damn lot of them are wrinkly and old like Barbara Bush. If I see a fresh red pepper before the slow guy behind me, it's mine, dammit. sob making faces at me because I bought the last red pepper. First come, first serve, asswipe. Want a red pepper? Unass the 2 liter Dr Pepper and we'll deal. Otherwise, quit making that face.

Yes, I'm grumpy about the grocery store lately. VERY grumpy about it.

I'm just getting started in the food rationing war down here in my town. I have a family to provide for. I'm telling ya. I will win if it comes to blows. I'll hit below the belt and not think twice. The hamburger buns getting smaller and smaller and the food rationing at the local Food Lion has me in high survival gear. They don't want to fuck with me.

Fuckin' Coca Cola is rationing the Dr Peppers too. Just ask anyone who regularly drinks Dr Pepper if they are having a hard time finding 2 liter Dr Peppers it the past month or so. Seven hundred damn Coca Colas all over the store, lined up in damn near every aisle and oozing out of every orifice. And they only stock about 8 Dr Peppers? Fucking hell. Buying all three red peppers is payback for not having enough Dr Peppers. They need not REALLY piss me off. I'll buy all the Duke's mayo. Wanna see a bunch of Southerners lost and befuddled? Take all the Duke's mayo out of the store. Want Duke's? Bring me Dr Pepper and we'll trade. Muahahhaa. :evilgrin:

I just wish someone else would do the shopping and bringing the groceries home for me...and get the right stuff. For fuck's sake, don't bring home some Hellman's bullshit or Pepsi. Get Duke's and Dr Pepper. And run all over town looking for Dr Peppers for me. Wade through hundreds of Coca-Colas in every damn store in town looking for the few Dr Peppers they put on the shelves nowadays.
