Poll question: Favorite Showtime Series
I'm about to get season 4 of Dexter on Netflix (so no spoilers)!
It struck me as a good excuse to post this poll. I have my guess about which show will win, but I'll wait for the results.

1. Stargate: SG1
Well, it started there and continued on the SciFi channel later.

Another good one that unfortunately got canceled was "Odyssey 5".

4. I think the first four seasons were on Showtime
and then they canceled it, so SciFi picked it up for all the other seasons. I didn't see it when it was on Showtime, only in reruns later.

10. Ah, that would explain the gratuitous nudity in the pilot episode.
I rented disk one of season one a few years back, just to see if I'd get into it. They had an extra get nekkid and lie down on an alien table for some reason. I figured it was a DVD extra or something. It was a kinda cute show, but nothing worth getting into. It was not Mad Men.

12. To itch their own.
Then again, I'm a science-fiction watcher, not a sixties-fiction watcher :P

5. I'm surprised the L Word didn't get a single vote.
Edited on Tue Aug-17-10 11:10 PM by Radical Activist
I voted for Californication but I thought The L Word was more popular.

8. The only Showtime series I ever liked was "Sherman Oaks"
The final season had Peter "Ralphie From Christmas Story" Billingsley as an uptight fundie jerk.

But the real reason I tuned in every week is the crush I had on Karen Kim, who played "Min."

It was one of those shows that went out of its way to be an equal opportunity offender. Everyone was fair game. It smashed stereotypes by making most of the characters stereotypical in one way or another.

11. Dexter is the best show on TV right now.
HBO has lost it's touch, they canceled all their best shows.
