President Bartlett wants the US to be Policeman of the world |
|
I am very dissappointed in last nights West Wing. It was a repeat but I hadn't seen it. Bartlett is taking on Pre-emption as a Doctrine. The goals are quite noble but ?????????? We need to have a world policeman but it shouldn't be the US alone. It should be the UN with all the support the US can give it. just my $.02 worth

1. Well, liberals get outraged by murder, massacre and terror, too, |
|
you know. The difference with Barlett is that he's willing to listen to cooler heads and act on their advice. Shoot, he is rare in even having cooler heads. The Chimp surrounds himself with war-mongering yes-men, and he never changes what is laughingly known as his mind once he's made a bad decision. (which is nearly all of them.)

3. Didn't he order the assassination of someone in an episode |
|
I personally can't stand the show but I was casually watching one episode with the better half and I thought he ordered the killing of another country's leader which happened at the end of that show.
Was that the case and if so, how was it justified?

Secondly he who is without sin cast the first stone. Nobody is perfect, just some people are closer to it than others.

6. And the Bible is just a Book ~~~ It gives a message |
|
The West Wing is full of idealogy and liberal messages which I feel are very healthy to hear and repeat. Yes it is "just" a TV show but it exemplifies morality IMHO and to me that is important. Sometimes I disagree with their decisions but most are exactly how I would like it to be in reality. Just like some people say about the Bible. It's just a book but some would like it to be reality.

7. I agree totaly with you Bandit... |

"The West Wing is full of idealogy and liberal messages". This is the reason I watch the show. My point I was trying to make is no one is perfect IE President Bartlett & those without sin cast the first stone.
