2. used to do Let's Get it On in a recent band; tried to get em to add this and alternate em
from one night to the next, but the band split up before we could do that. I wanted to sing it too, but it was looking like they would have let our main lead singer do it ( although I personally didn't see what him being twice as good a singer as me should have had to do with it).

3. For me, there's a major difference between the studio version of L.G.I.O...
...and the one on "Live."



The studio version purrs, the live version roars. On the live version, you're hearing the Marvin of "I have kissed a few, I tell you a few have kissed me too" fame. He's not trying to be coy at all, while the studio version is wrapped around "coy."

I can't listen to the studio version anymore...I don't care if it was the "hit" or not. After hearing it on "Live," it's like a different song.

I don;t know if the actual setlist from the Oakland show included him going straight from "Let's Get It On" into "What's Going On," but when he does it on the album, it's a literal one-two punch, just magnificent.
