I'm getting ready to watch the Clydesdale hitch competition. But earlier today my brother-in-law won the chili cookoff. He's been trying to win for 10 years and hadn't even placed. He goes to.the first round of the world championship in NH in October. It was thrilling to watch him finally win. (I think this is most I've said in the Lounge and my first OP here!). Dana ; )

Just being part of it and a reason to drink beer from 7 in the morning until 2. I won't be going. There's a team of cooks, but I am going to help with the fundraiser. They'll have to drive cuz they use their own cooker. Dana ; )

4. Are there draft horse shows at those

Events? My daughter and her husband live in Omaha.If I'm there I might take in a show. The Percherons are showing here tonight too. My fav breed though are the Belgians...those animals can be hUUUUge. Are you a draft horse lover! Dana ; )
