What is this?

I picked it from a community garden. It's about 12 inches tall and 9 inches wide. I can't tell if it's a melon or some kind of squash.

I want to know before I cut it open.

2. That's what I'm thinking
The leaves were similar to all the other squash bunches surrounding it.

8. You know
The image that sticks with me from that chest-bursting scene isn't the chest bursting - it's the bean-sprout salad he was eating. I always wondered if it tasted good.

4. The stem end sure looks like a squash. Does it feel heavy for it's size
or does it feel like it might have a seed cavity like a winter squash or a melon?

6. It's pretty light
And when I thump it, it's gives off a hollow-type sound.

I'm definitely thinking squash. I just never seen one so big and round.

I think I'll slice it up and grill it. :)

7. It might be a good choice to stuff and bake. I love squash just about
anyway you can fix it.

9. Well, I got others
Butternut, yellow and those green phallic-looking squash. So, I got lots of potential ways to cook em. :hi:

5. A pregnant zucchini.
Don't cut it open unless the babies really need to be delivered early for medical reasons.
