Hate crime?
Well I got off the train this evening at Claymont, DE to find my car vandalized in the station parking lot. Someone had taken a key or something and inscribed "Bitch fuck you; fuck $ and US out afgan" on the hood of my car as well as making deep scrapes on the hood and doors. My car has a Department of Defense registration decal on the lower windshield on the driver's side. The words were inscribed in the vicinity of the decal. Some of you know that I'm a retired Army officer who has maintained an open mind and voice during the wars that we're fighting. Did I deserve this treatment? And, yes, it doesn't even approximate a hate crime, but the subject line made you look!

4. I'm very sorry, Old Troop.
I don't know if this would be considered prosecutable as a hate crime. Maybe a lawyer can chime in here.
