"The Practice" Fans - Monday Discussion Thread

Great show last night. What's in Alan's head? Even he admits to not knowing why he went to court.

He proved his point, but he hurt a lot of people he claims to admire.

Best line last night.....

Defense attorney to Tara: "Have you had sex with Alan Shore?"

Tara: "No, I have not."

Alan: "Objection!!"

Judge: "Sit down Mr. Shore, she said 'No'."

Alan: "That's what I'm objecting to. I've been trying to have sex with her and she keeps turning me down."

LOL!!!!!!!!!

1. i really loved it
i think he was just trying to justify to himself that he is within the limits of "normal lawyers" and that the system itself is flawed more than he is

2. What's going to happen to the show next year?
I hear it's going away, but a spin off with James Spader?

He's been great on it this year.... I'd never have thought the show would have worked after losing so many characters. But, he definitely took over the show.

3. There will be a spin-off with Alan Shore and Tara working at ...
William Shatner's firm.

Shatner is great BTW. I just love his character. It's brilliant.

8. Alan saved the show
I had stopped watching The Practice last year as I just got sick of Bobby and his problems.

Spader has been great. I hope he does return next year in some venue.

6. Who? Spader or Shatner?
Spader will be back, on a new show.

I'm not sure if the Denny Crane character that the Shat-man plays will be back, but supposedly, Alan Shore will be working at that firm.

Eugene is so befuddled and bewildered. He just doesn't know what's hit him. The show last night was totally mesmorizing.

7. Spader
Yeah Eugene did look totally pole axed.I think Jimmy did also when he was cross examined by alan.
I think shatner will be back too .
Do you think Alan will find a way back into the practice?
Last night did sort of open the door for that.

5. Spader is a great actor...

Im glad he's on the show. Always liked the show but he will give it a more "bad boy" tone instead of the "do gooder" tone it has had in the past.

Really great show. Makes being a lawyer look like fun and not filing papers and eating donuts all day.

9. I loved the failed settlement meeting with Denny Crane
announcing himself at every turn. Or when Shore claimed he was "feeling a little insecure, could you please utter those two famous words". "I don't like it when people talk about me in the corridor as if I'm not there.....I'm in the corridor".

I liked this episode for its actual lack of acrimony, at least on Shore's part. His wounded look when Jimmy confirmed he didn't like him and couldn't separate that dislike for an objective opinion. Crane making Eugene look like an ass in an almost offhand way. "Was it me or was he effective in there?"....LOL.

Who'd thunk Spader and Shatter would make a great comic duo. "At this law firm we practice our sexual harassment BEHIND closed doors."

Excellent show.

10. The Denny Crane line about sexual harrasment was great. LOL!!!
And how Crane kept sitting down, then standing up, then sitting back down, and getting up again, like he had just one more thing. Then he pulls out the recording of Eugene stating that Shore was 'unstable'.

Great stuff.
