1. As good as it gets
considering the neurotypical Danes is portraying a woman with autism. Dustin Hoffman's Oscar-winning performance in Rain Man snaps to mind.

And I know whereof I speak, having co-presented with Dr. Grandin at a 1995 conference in Conn.

9. Funny you should mention that...
Heard an interview on NPR yesterday and Grandin was gushing at how well Daines managed to capture her.

Should you be interested in the interview:

2. I want to see it.
I have seen her give animal handling presentations (video) but this movie is one of a rare few I really want to see. Please give a review when you are through.

11. Very Good!
I was lucky to get a free HBO weekend and they ran it.
Claire Danes really does a great job.
Have been interested in Temple Grandin since reading about her in the New Yorker many years ago. Fascinating person.
C-Span did an extended interview wth her recently It may be on their site.

12. Terrific movie, and her performance is excellent.
It also does a nice job of avoiding sentimentality (as Grandin herself does).

15. You can youtube it or go on the CSPAN site to see the 3 hour
interview with Temple. I think it was done in Oct. or Nov. of '09. I didn't see the whole thing yet but what I saw was good.
