what to do?
i just finished the last of 96 cupcakes and 24 blueberry tarts
they are for my wifes open house tomorrow
it is a victory lap she is taking sponsored by our local chamber of commerce
she is a nurse midwife/gynocologist who opened her practice last year.she was tired of other people making the rules for her.
she has always acted as patient advocate and that sometimes goes against corporate policy.she wanted to offer the women of our county an alternative to high speed modern medicine,a place where women could come on their shedules and receive the level of personal attention that every consumer should demand.a place where they would be heard and where they would be spoken to.
so we put it all out there in the worst economy since the early 70s.there were days and weeks when the only one saying it was a winner was me.there were days when she was sure it would drag us under but we always found a way to make it one more month.and then something started to happen.the few patients she started with told their friends, brought their daughters.and some brought their moms.old patients of my wife in a previous practice learned she was open and started booking appointments.one day she saw a patient who turned out to be a dr of womens physical therapy and she joined my wifes practice.they have the only womens physical therapy specialist practicing in central florida.
another day another nurse midwife came in and basically hired herself doubling the hrs the clinic is in service.
so they are now booked solid and are going to begin offering OB services within a year.
i was right it is a winner
and tommorrow is the open house.she has had rsvps from maine.
i have cut veggies enough for 3 platters
i have fruit enough for 2 platters and one skewer display
i have cheese and crackers
they are having hot finger food donated by a local restaurant (owners wife is a patient off subject but just to note living with a womens health provider has proven to me that you chicks all stick together like glue)
local paper says they will be there
and the above baked goods i worked on since 10 this morning

so here is my problem thats like a square yard of stuff and im tired and my dumbass dog has been waiting for me to pass out
if i sleep on the couch she wont screw with it and i have a comfy couch but still its not my awesome heated waterbed
if i make her go in the bedroom she wont lay down and she has a doggy door so she is used to going where she wants when she wants
i am leaning towards making her stay in the bedroom

Only THEN did I realize you need to lock that dog up!

OMG you and your wife ROCK!! thank you both.

2. My dear SwampG8r!
How about tying the dog up? I dunno.

But what I really want to say:

BIGGO CONGRATS TO YOU AND YOUR WIFE FOR NEVER HAVING GIVEN UP!

That is just awesome!

Enjoy your open house tomorrow, and I know you will...

That is just majorly good news!

10. i admit i'm tired--really tired, so i skimmed what you wrote
"if i sleep on the couch she wont screw with it and i have a comfy couch but still its not my awesome heated waterbed
if i make her go in the bedroom she wont lay down and she has a doggy door so she is used to going where she wants when she wants
i am leaning towards making her stay in the bedroom"
