A Christian Movie Review of "Machete"
You read this and ask yourself this - did someone from this website actually go see the movie or did they just watch the trailer and write it from there.

http://www.movieguide.org/box-office/7/10284

MACHETE Content: (what the ratings mean)
(HHH, CoCoCo, PCPCPC, AbAbAb, APAPAP, AcapAcapAcap, FeFeFe, LLL, VVV, SSS, NNN, AA, DDD, MMM) Evil, rotten, disgusting, humanist, nihilistic, Communist, politically correct, pro-revolution, pro-illegal immigration worldview with extreme Anti-Christian blasphemy and sacrilege (including a corrupt priest), racist elements, anti-white elements, anti-American, and anti-capitalist content, radical feminist elements, overt discussion of incest, and other anti-family content; 68 obscenities and 17 profanities; ultra-graphic, gory, very bloody, snuff extreme, constant violence such as gruesome decapitations, limbs severed, eye shot out, numerous gun battles, woman dresses as nun and mows down people with machine gun, man disemboweled and intestines used to rappel off building, priest nailed to a cross, torture, electrocution, etc.; extreme sex includes group sex, exhibitionism, and overt discussion of incest; extreme nudity includes full frontal female nudity; alcohol use and drunkenness; smoking cigarettes, marijuana use and selling drugs; and, very strong miscellaneous immorality includes lying, cheating, kickbacks, blackmail, betrayal, manipulation, corruption, greed, envy, reverse racism rationalized, and revenge.

<<<<snip>>>>>

There’s nothing sexy about the nudity and sex in MACHETE, which are extreme. Also, after the first couple minutes of violence, most people will become extremely desensitized. That said, thousands of studies show there are susceptible people such as Ted Bundy and Al Gore enamored, eco-terrorist James Jay Lee who tried to blow up the Discovery Channel in September 2010. So, some illegal immigrant may decide that every American is evil, America is corrupt and that it’s his or her job to start the revolution.

(Lynne Note: Gotta love how they lump Al Gore with a serial killer and that nut job from the Discovery Channel Hostage thing)

2. Sample around this clown's website
You get the distinct impression that he pores over every instance of "extreme nudity" or other "evil, rotten, disgusting" happenings on a frame-by-frame basis. And I don't think you'd be wrong.

As for his relentless, exhaustive catalog of every last little plot development that he finds objectionable, you have to wonder (a) what he thinks about quite a bit of the Bible (which features nudity, incest, lying, cheating, blackmail, betrayal, manipulation, corruption, greed, envy, and revenge); and (b) what sort of story in which absolutely nothing objectionable happens would pass muster for him.

6. I remember when "The Iron Giant" came out
and I found one of those "Christain Movie Review" sites. They were upset with the movie for the vulgarity in it. I was perplexed. What vulgarity?! Seems like the use of the word "damn" and I think close to the end when Mansley says "Screw our country! I WANT TO LIVE!" were "objectionable".

I thought it was a great movie for all ages, but I guess some need their family movies to be "squeaky clean".

10. Stupid idiots. We showed "The Iron Giant" at my church a couple years ago for family movie night.
The kids loved it, and the parents and other adults loved the message.

but then, I'm at a church that isn't addicted to fear and hate, so it's not surprising.

What's that old western? God Forgives, I Don't? In the original 'fake' trailer in Grindhouse, the priest character said something like that, only I think the word was mercy.

5. Sounds great. I hope it lives up to the review.
"Evil, rotten, disgusting, humanist, nihilistic, Communist...."

Waitaminute. Which one of these words doesn't belong here? Humanist? Really? That belongs in the same sentence as "disgusting" and "nihilistic?"

"...anti-American, and anti-capitalist content..."

Well, maybe, but what does that have to do with Christianity? Whatever else Christianity is, it is not capitalistic.
