2. I once had a cat who would do that whenever she was trying to sneak up on me.

She'd hide behind the furniture and slooowly raise her head, ears folded down so I wouldn't see her (so she thought), and then she'd pounce. I always thought the ear thing was pretty cute. Not especially effective, but cute.
