Phoenix or Houston? --a non poll poll --

I think I would just walk out into the desert until I couldn't walk anymore, if I had to choose either. But then, who knows how strong my will to live actually is?

4. I lived in Houston. I've been in Phoenix within the last 8 months.

I'd pick Phoenix in an instant.

5. Why, XNASA?

They seem similar, at least to the naked eye. Flat, spread out, built in the freeway era. Hot. Big city, but not in the top tier of LA NY SF DC

6. The weather in Phoenix is much nicer.

Even though it's hotter in Phoenix, the lack of humidity makes it much more comfortable.

The air in Phoenix was much better. Houston smells like turpentine.

Phoenix is surrounded by mountains and is only a couple of hours from places like Sedona and Flagstaff. Houston is in a swamp which is at least a days drive from anyplace interesting.

My congressman in Houston was Tom DeLay. Just the fact that someone like DeLay can get elected is enough to make me run from a place like Houston.

Having said all that, the restaurants in Houston are fantastic......as were all the people I worked alongside at JSC.
