I'm sitting here in Sumner, Washington right now, near Seattle, at one of my company's trucking terminals waiting to be loaded. It's looking like it won't be until after midnight.

The last time I was here, I asked one of the locals where a good place to get some breakfast would be that's close by that I could get my bobtail tractor into. He told me about a place a few miles away and gave me directions. When I got there I discovered that it was a bar. I went inside and asked them if they served breakfast and they said that they did. They make some damned good biscuits and gravy, too.

I went back to the terminal and a few hours later I got picked for what I thought at the time was a random alcohol test. I was clean, of course. But I got to thinking about it this morning and put two and two together and I'd bet money that that alcohol test wasn't all that random. The name of my trucking company is on the side of my truck as is my truck number. The trucking terminal is right down the road. Get the picture?

I can't prove it, but I bet someone snitched on me thinking that I was in there drinking beers.

Anyway, yeah, I could sure use a drink. If I was going to be here until later tomorrow, I'd get a motel room and a six pack and sit around in my underwear while watching ESPN.
