4. Holy shit
I hope those guys get 100 k plus for that job. That is unreal. I always thought they hung from helicopters. And they are parallel with the storm clouds rolling in!

5. A guy that came out to work on the main cable feed here used to do this. His stories
were interesting. He said the worst type were the old towers where you went way to the top and then had to climb way out on the arms to change the lights.

6. Oh my
I'm scared of heights too. I watched the whole thing, but I was whimpering halfway through, and I did say "Mama" a few times. :scared:

7. Man, that was rough.
I kept thinking of the dreams I have that resemble this. I'm usually way up on a rickety tower and it gets all wobbly when I'm up there. It's usually at a lake or some water, but it always begins to topple and I have to shut the dream off before I hit.

This video really wigged me out, especially .. 'only 60 feet to the top'.

I feel kind of queasy now.

And I'll probably have a bad dream tonight.

But it was an amazing piece.

Especially in full screen.

Love to see this in 3D.

NOT!

9. El Camino del Rey
El Caminito del Rey (The King's pathway) is a walkway, now fallen into disrepair, pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Álora in Málaga, Spain. The name is often shortened to El Camino del Rey.

11. I just climbed Cannon Mountain on the Whites.
Edited on Thu Sep-16-10 06:24 PM by Xipe Totec
Nothing even close to Camino del Rey, but even one ladder crossing open space, over a 1,000 foot precipice is enough to unnerve me.

12. Oh, no fucking way. I got through it, but don't know how. No enough
money in the world.

Then I got fascinated at some point thinking that some birds of prey will spot dinner from that height. Whoa.

15. Ya know, I've watched it a few times now
cause I'm a masochist - hey, I yam what I yam  and I must say, these guys have nerves of steel. But I wish the one guy with his helmet-cam hadn't been zooming all over the place - that really freaked me out.

Still, great video. I now know what career field I do NOT want my children to go into.

16. It is good way to think on conncetions between imagery and feeling.
Edited on Fri Sep-17-10 04:01 AM by RandomThoughts
Think of the way you feel when watching that.

Now think of the ways similar methods, just a bit more subtle can be attached to people in public life.

Last time I watched it, I got a bit of that queasy fear feeling, a rare feeling for me, and it lead me strait to thoughts on Rove. He is close to fear. LOL

That feeling isn't there watching it this time.
